1 Scope
This standard specifies the classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules and marking, packaging, transportation and storage of umbrella.
This standard is applicable to the umbrellas with textile fabric and plastic surface and stands made of different materials.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the following terminologies and definitions apply.
3.1
child umbrella
an umbrella for children which is 50cm (including 50cm) or below from the center of the umbrella cap or umbrella tip to the center of the tip hole (slot)
3.2
compressive force of the umbrella rod
force from the compressive umbrella rod to the closing slot for automatic open-and-close umbrella.
4 Product classification
4.1 According to the type of opening and closing, umbrellas can be divided into hand-open umbrella, automatic-open umbrella and automatic-open-and-close umbrella.
4.2 According to the structure of rib, umbrellas can be divided into stick umbrella and telescopic umbrella.
5 Requirements
5.1 General
The safety performance of the product shall meet the requirements of GB 31892 and GB 28477.
5.2 Appearance
The appearance shall be clean without dirt mark and rusty stain.
5.3 Sewing
The seam of surface shall not be separated and exposed. It shall be free from the defects such as skipping stitch and broken stitch etc. The stitch length density shall be that there are not less than 15 needles in 5cm.
5.4 Umbrella surface
5.4.1 Umbrella surface shall be free from hole. Textile fabric shall be free from flush and the sum of the broken warp and weft shall not be larger than four at the same point.
5.4.2 The tensile strength of plastic umbrella surface shall not get fractured and damaged after passing the test of 6.4.2.
5.5 Specification and size
Specifications and sizes shall be clearly stated on the product, and their representation and tolerance shall be in accordance with QB/T 4743.
5.6 Product completeness
Product shall be complete and falling-off of the spare parts are not allowed after testing in 6.6.
5.7 Stability of lower plate of automatic open and automatic-open-and-close umbrella
After the umbrella is opened, the lower plate and the buffer spring (net) shall be positioned reliably and the hand feels not to move.
5.8 Opening and closing force of automatic open umbrella and automatic-open-and-close umbrella
5.8.1 The force value of the key (button) when the adult umbrella is opened or closed should be 10 N to 55 N.
5.8.2 For automatic-open-and-close umbrella, the compressive force of the umbrella rod should not exceed 100 N.
5.9 Wind-resistant strength of umbrella rod
After the test specified in 6.9, the umbrella's rod and rib shall be free from obvious deformation, bending and the damages affecting the normal use.
5.10 Fault-free consecutive opening and closing times
After opening and closing manually operated stick umbrella 600 times, automatic open stick umbrella 400 times, manually operated telescopic umbrella 400 times, automatic open telescopic umbrella 400 times and automatic-open-and-close umbrella 400 times, the rivets falling off, displacement of clamp code, fracture and looseness of the stings that link the disk, defection of umbrella disk, malfunction of malfunction spring, fracture of umbrella rib, separation of seam, run of seam hole, displacement of handle and peeling of plated coating shall not exist.
