1 Scope
This part of GB/T 22719 specifies the test method for interturn insulation test of random-wound winding for AC electrical machines.
This part is applicable to the inspection of interturn insulation of random-wound winding for three-phase or single-phase AC electrical machine with rated voltage of 1140V and below.

3 Terms and Definitions
For the purposes of this part, the following terms and definitions apply.
3.1
comparison method of impulse waveforms
one method to conduct interturn insulation of electrical machine winding (or coil) through impulse voltage test.
the principle is to apply the impulse voltage wave with the specified peak and wave front time alternately (or simultaneously) directly to the tested winding and the reference winding (or coil) with the same design, and detect whether the interturn insulation of electrical machine winding (or coil) is good by judging whether there is a difference in the damped oscillation waveform caused by the impulse voltage. See Annex A.
3.2
reference winding (or coil)
the electrical machine winding (or coil) used to be compared with the tested winding (or coil) where the interturn insulation of electrical machine winding (or coil) is detected through comparison method of impulse waveforms.
