1 Scope
This standard specifies the performance requirements and measuring methods for electric kettles for household and similar purposes.
This standard is applicable to the electric kettle with rated voltage not exceeding AC 250V and rated capacity not exceeding 2.5L.
Note 1:
——Similar purpose refers to non-household uses, e.g. occasion similar to the household purpose like hotel, coffee shop, teahouse and hotel;
——It's not applicable to the service environment with flammable, explosive and corrosive gases and conductive dust in ambient air;
——The performance requirements and measuring methods for electric kettles with rated capacity larger than 2.5L are still under consideration.
Note 2: this standard is only applicable to the electric kettles used at altitude below 800m.
