This part of GB/T 21198 specifies the method for determining precious metals in gold, platinum and palladium alloy jewelries by determining the impurity element content therein.
This part is applicable to the purity range of gold, platinum and palladium jewelries determined in GB 11887, therein the gold content is 725‰~999‰, the platinum content is 800‰~999‰ and the palladium content is 800‰~999‰.
Note: jewelries may contain elements such as platinum, gold, palladium, silver, copper, nickel, cobalt, ferrum, zinc, cadmium, ruthenium, rhodium and iridium.
