1 Scope
This standard specifies terms and definitions, construction, ticket, terminal equipment of stations, requirements for computer system and central clearing system of the automatic fare collection system of urban rail transportation.
This standard is applicable to production and operation management of automatic fare collection system and equipments of urban rail transportation.

3 Terms and Definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this standard.
3.1
Automatic fare collection
A automatic system to realize the overall process of track traffic fare collection, billing, charging, statistics, central clearing and management based on such technologies as computer, communication, network and automatic control etc.
3.2
Contact-less integrated circuit card
Integrated circuit card installed by integrated circuit and antenna in the card and coupled with the externally dedicated reader writer in the contact-less method.
3.3
Single journey ticket
A disposable ticket used in a limit time without the recharging function.
3.4
Storage value ticket
A ticket to be recharged repeatably with storage value functions.
3.5
A storage value ticket used to take public means of transportation of all kind in the city and transfer in urban rail transportation.
3.6
Automatic ticket vending machine
A equipment used for selling and assigning valid tickets by self-help at the station with functions to treat automatically the payment and change giving.
3.7
Booking office machine
An equipment used for vending and assigning valid tickets by manual assistant on-site with ticket business processing functions such as ticket buying after normal time, ticket returning, ticket business enquiry and update .
3.8
Gate
An equipment used to check and treat the tickets as well as access or stop the passenger into the pay charges area.
3.9
Anti-collision
A function to distinguish multiple tickets in the operational area of the gate simultaneously.
3.10
Central clearing system
A system to issue and manage the track traffic ticket and make the accounts for the tickets and funds in different lines and have the central clearing functions with the urban one through card.
