3 Terms and Definitions
For the purposes of this standard, the following terms and definitions apply.
3.1
Plywood for container flooring
Plywood (veneer log) with functions of insect prevention, corrosion protection and weathering resistance, used as container flooring for bearing a certain load
4 Requirements
4.1 Board Structure
4.1.1 Surface board shall be full-breadth veneer, compacted plane facing outside. The internal layer is whole-sheet veneer, and shall not have end joint that has not be treated with inclined plane lapping or finger jointing.
4.1.2 Symmetrical layers outsides of the core layer shall be wood with same thickness, tree species or physical mechanical property, and same wood grain direction.
4.1.3 Thickness of veneer (single board) depends on anti-corrosion agent penetration. Generally, the total thickness of veneers with same fiber direction with outer ply is 60% the total thickness of the board blank.
4.1.4 Number of layers for board is not less than 19 (layers).
4.2 Bonding Property of Adhesion Agent
It shall meet the requirement of outdoor plywood (Category I plywood).
4.3 Anti-corrosion Agent
It shall adopt the one specified by ""Cargo Containers: Quarantine Aspects and Procedures"(2010) issued by the Australian Quarantine and Inspection Service (AQIS).
4.4 Specification and Dimensional Tolerance
4.4.1 Common breadth: 1160mm or 1141mm in width; 2400mm, 1388mm or 1010mm in length; or agreed by the supply and demand parties.
4.4.2 28mm in thickness; or agreed by the supply and demand parties.
4.4.3 Allowable dimensional tolerance of products shall satisfy the requirements of Table 1.
