GB/T 19342-2024 Manual toothbrushes - General requirements and test methods
1 Scope
This document specifies the technical requirements, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of manual toothbrushes, and describes the corresponding test methods.
This document is applicable to the production, inspection, and sale of manual toothbrushes for daily oral hygiene.
This document is not applicable to toothbrushes intended for children aged 14 and below.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions given in GB 39669 and the following apply.
3.1
manual toothbrush
appliance used for cleaning the surface of teeth, which is not driven by electricity but achieves cleaning function through bristles
3.2
tufting toothbrush
toothbrush that fixes all or part of the tuft onto the brush head using metal sheets or hot melt methods
3.3
taper rate of filament
proportion of monofilament with a tip cone height of not less than 4 mm in the taper bristles
3.4
molded bristle
bristles formed by injection molding process on the brush head to clean teeth
Note: The molded components used for massage or other functions are not included.
3.5
tuft deflection force

force generated by the resistance of tuft to bending
Note: The unit is Newton (N).

conventional bristle
bristle with a solid circle along the length direction
4 Requirements
4.1 Sensory quality
Appearance quality shall meet those specified in Table 1.
