GB/T 17729-2023 Hygienic standard and detect methods for the air quality inside interurban bus
1 Scope
This document specifies the limits and detection methods of volatile organic compounds and carbonyl compounds inside new interurban bus, and the limits and detection methods of main components of air inside in-service interurban bus.
This document is applicable to Grade B and Grade III passenger vehicles of Class M2 and M3, and serves as a reference for other types of passenger vehicles.
2 Normative references
The following documents contain provisions which, through reference in this text, constitute provisions of this document. For dated references, only the edition cited applies. For undated references, the latest edition of the referenced document (including any amendments) applies.
GB 7258 Safety specifications for power-driven vehicles operating on roads
GB/T 15089 Classification of power-driven vehicles and trailers
HJ/T 400-2007 Determination of volatile organic compounds and carbonyl compounds in cabin of vehicles
3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions given in GB 7258 and GB/T 15089 and the following apply.
3.1
interurban bus
passenger bus designed and manufactured for interurban (urban-rural) passenger transport
[Source: GB 7258-2017, 3.2.1.3.1.1, modified]
3.2
new interurban bus
newly produced interurban bus with the off-the-production-line time within (42±5)d and the interior not changed
3.3
in-service interurban bus
interurban bus that has been registered and is used for commercial road passenger transport
3.4
volatile organic compounds
collective term for volatile compounds that are collected using adsorbents like tenax and separated using a gas chromatographic column with a polarity index under 10, and have retention times ranging between n-hexane and n-hexadecane
[Source: HJ/T 400-2007, 3.2, modified]
3.5
carbonyl compound
compound with carbon-based functional groups analyzed by high performance liquid chromatography through 2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazine (DNPH) collection
[Source: ISO 12219-1: 2021, 3.4]
3.6
total volatile organic compounds; TVOC
sum of values of volatile compounds that are collected using adsorbents like tenax and separated using a gas chromatographic column with a polarity index under 10, and have retention times ranging between n-hexane and n-hexadecane
[Source: GB/T 18883-2022, 3.4, modified]
3.7
aerobic plate count
number of microorganisms in the interior compartment per cubic meter obtained after the air in the bus is sampled by an air microbial sampler and cultured under certain conditions (such as culture medium, culture temperature and culture time)
Note: The colony count is expressed in colony-forming units (CFU).
