This standard specifies the terms and definition, classification and marking, materials, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packing, transporting and storing, product sample and the basic contents of product specification of central-station air handling units (hereinafter referred to as "units").
This standard is applicable to the units that have the functional section of combined units and are able to complete one or several treatment functions such as air delivery, mixing, heating, cooling, dehumidification, humidification, filtration, noise elimination and heat reclaim.
Those units which taking brine, glycol and direct-expansion coil as the coolant and adopting electric heater may be implemented by making reference thereto. This standard is not applicable to air conditioners with cool and heat source by themselves, fan-coil units and heater units.
