1 Scope
This document specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transport and storage of elastomeric materials for rotary shaft lip seals with elastomeric sealing elements.
This document applies to rotary shaft lip seals (hereinafter referred to as "seals") with elastomeric sealing elements used under low pressure conditions.

5 Test methods
5.1 Preparation of specimens
Specimens should be prepared according to the moulding method specified in GB/T 2941,
5.2 Performance tests for rubber materials
5.2.1 Hardness should be tested in accordance with GB/T 6031 or GB/T 531.1.
5.2.2 tensile strength, elongation at break should be tested in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 528, using type 1 specimens.
5.2.3 compression permanent deformation should be tested according to the provisions of GB/T 7759.1, using type B specimens.
5.2.4 Hot air aging should be tested according to the provisions of GB/T3512.
5.2.5 IRM 901 and IRM 903 resistance should be tested according to the provisions of GB/T 1690, using type II specimens.
5.2.6 Temperature retraction TR10 should be tested according to the provisions of GB/T 7758.
6 Inspection rules
6.1 Factory inspection
6.1.1 to the same shift with the same machine production of the same type of elastomeric materials, the total amount of not more than 300 kg for a batch.
6.1.2 A random sample shall be taken from each batch of elastomeric material to prepare a leather sample, according to the requirements in Table 2 to Table 6, serial number 1 to 4, for factory inspection.
6.1.3 When the test results of elastomeric materials do not meet, double samples should be taken for the non-conforming items for retesting, retesting still does not meet, then the batch of elastomeric materials failed.
6.2 Type test
When one of the following circumstances, should be Table 2 to Table 6 of the elastomeric materials for the full performance test:
--Product transfer production or new product identification;
--Formal production, such as materials, processes have a large change may affect product performance;
--Normal production not less than once a year;
--Products out of production for more than six months, resume production
--- factory test results and the last type test has a large difference
--The national market supervision and management agencies to carry out the type test requirements.
7 Marking, packaging, transport and storage
7.1 Each batch of elastomeric material shall be accompanied by a certificate of conformity indicating: the document number, material code, hardness level, vulcanisation conditions, batch number, quantity, production unit, date of manufacture, inspection department seal of conformity.
7.2 The material shall be packed without damage or contamination to the rubber, with a gross weight of not more than 25 kg per box.
7.3 Elastomeric materials should be stored in a cool and ventilated environment, should not be in contact with acids, alkalis, oils and solvents, should avoid direct exposure to sunlight and other light sources containing strong ultraviolet rays, storage temperature should not exceed 30 ℃, the relative humidity should not be greater than 80%, should be 1 m away from heat sources.
7.4 In accordance with the above conditions, the storage period of elastomeric materials is 3 months, from the date of manufacture, more than the storage period of elastomeric materials, should be carried out full performance inspection, qualified before use.
