This standard specifies the instruments and materials, test specimen, test procedure, test result, precision, safety precautions and limitations of test result etc. for the measurement of thermal stability of materials with the differential thermal analyzer and/or differential scanning calorimeter.
This standard is applicable to the assessment on thermal stability of solids, liquids or slurries with exotherm or endotherm in an inert or a reactive atmosphere with a certain pressure range (including normal pressure) and a temperature range from -50℃~1500℃.
