This standard replaces GB/T 12535-1990 “Motor vehicle-starting performance-Test method”.
In view of the testing operability, the standard has made larger modification on technology out of date, laboratory environment, temperature conditions, and form of words criteria.
——Increase the environment temperature and make a clear scope:(-10 ± 2)℃; (-35 ± 2)℃
——Make clear that tests should be made in test chamber as much as possible; while large vehicles conforming to item 5.5 can do it outside the test chamber;
——Sample car should be vacant specified in Test conditions;
——Increase required dragging duration: general starting tests in fifteen seconds; cold start tests in thirty seconds.
