1 Scope
This chapter of GB/T 11918.1-2014 is applicable except as follows:
Replacement of the first and second paragraphs by the following text:
This part of GB/T 11918 specifies the technical requirements such as protection against electric shock, interlocks, switches and their components, construction, mechanical strength and electrical performance of switched socket-outlets and connectors with or without interlock for industrial purposes
This part applies to self-contained products that combine within a single enclosure, a socket-outlet or connector according to GB/T 11918.1 and a switching device, with a rated operating voltage not exceeding 1 000V d.c. or a.c. and 500Hz, and a rated current not exceeding 800A, primarily intended for industrial use, either indoors or outdoors.
The following text is added after the second paragraph:
These accessories are intended to be installed by instructed [electrical] persons (GB/T 2900.73-2008, definition 195-04-02) or skilled [electrical] persons (GB/T 2900.73-2008, definition 195-04-01) only.
These products may incorporate an interlock and/or protective devices.
