This standard is developed in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2020 Directives for standardization — Part 1: Rules for the structure and drafting of standardizing documents.
This standard replaces GB/T 1174-1992 Cast bearing alloy. In addition to structural adjustments and editorial changes, the following main technical changes have been made with respect to GB/T 1174-1992:
a) The scope has been modified (see Clause 1 herein and Clause 1 of 1992 edition);
b) The alloy designation representation method has been modified (see Clause 4 herein and Clause 3 of 1992 edition);
c) The chemical composition of the cast bearing alloy has been changed (see 5.1 herein and 4.1 of 1992 edition);
d) Mechanical properties of cast bearing alloy have been added (see 5.2 herein and 4.2 of 1992 edition);
e) The test methods for chemical composition have been modified (see 6.1 herein and 5.1 of 1992 edition);
f) The test method for mechanical properties has been modified (see 6.2 herein and 5.2 of 1992 edition);
g) The inspection rules have been modified (see Clause 7 herein and Clause 5 of 1992 edition).
h) Marking, packaging, transportation, storage and certificates of quality have been added (see Clause 8);
i) The Annex A has been modified (see Annex A herein and Annex A of 1992 edition).
j) Annex B has been deleted (see Annex B of 1992 edition).

Cast bearing alloy
1 Scope
This standard specifies designation and code, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, storage, quality certificates of cast bearing alloy.
This document is applicable to cast tin-based, lead-based, copper-based and aluminum-based bimetallic sliding bearings and copper-based, zinc-based and aluminum-based alloy integral sliding bearings.

4 Alloy designation and code
4.1 Alloy designation representation method
The designation method of casting bearing alloy shall be implemented according to those specified in GB/T 8063.
4.2 Alloy casting method code

Li——centrifugal casting.
4.3 Alloy heat treatment state code
T5——Solid solution treatment plus incomplete artificial aging.
