Methods for Chemical Analysis of Lithium Carbonate, Lithium Hydroxide Monohydrate and Lithium Chloride - Part 11: Determination of Acid-insolubles Content - Gravimetric Method
1 Scope
This part of GB/T 11064 specifies the methods for determining the acid-insolubles content in the lithium carbonate, lithium hydroxide monohydrate and lithium chloride.
This part is applicable to the determination of acid-insolubles content in the lithium carbonate, lithium hydroxide monohydrate and lithium chloride, within the range of 0.0050%~0.020%.
2 Method summary
The test sample is decomposed with hydrochloric acid, heated and boiled, filtered with a glass filter crucible, and dried at 105%~110% to a constant mass.
3 Reagents
Unless otherwise specified, analytically-pure reagents and distilled or deionized water shall be used for purpose of this part.
3.1 Hydrochloric acid (ρ=1.19 g/mL).
3.2 Methyl orange indicator solution (1 g/L): weigh 0.1g methyl orange, dissolve in 70% of water, cool it and dilute it to 100 mL.
