This standard specifies the hygienic requirements for the phenol lacquer.
This standard is applicable to the phenol lacquer made from the dilution of alcohol solvent and ketone solvent during which raw lacquer, as raw material, is processed into varnish or a certain amount of epoxy resin is added into the varnish. The phenol lacquer may act as the anti-corrosion coating which contacts the inner wall of containers for wine, soy sauce, vinegar, beverage and fermented food or tableware.
