1 Scope
This standard specifies the fire performance requirements and test methods for vehicles.
This standard is applicable to the type test and quality inspection test of pumper apparatus (named as "pumper"), water tank fire vehicle (tanker), foam fire truck (foam truck), powder fire truck (dry powder truck), foam/powder universal fire truck (universal truck), water tanker (water tender), elevating platform fire truck (platform truck), water tower fire truck (water tower) and aerial ladder fire truck (aerial ladder truck), etc.
This standard is not applicable to the foam fire truck used in the airport for fire extinguishing.

3 Definitions
For the purposes of this standard, the following definitions apply.
3.1 Maximum manufacturer's total mass of fire vehicle chassis
The maximum manufacturer's total mass of the original vehicle type specified by the automobile manufacturer.
3.2 Maximum manufacturer's axle laden mass of fire vehicle chassis
The maximum manufacturer's axle laden mass of the front/rear axles of the original vehicle type as specified the automobile manufacturer or fire vehicle chassis manufacturer. As for the fire vehicle with double front axles or double rear axles, it means the maximum manufacturer's axle laden mass of the double axles.
3.3 Fire vehicle kerb mass
It means the mass of the fire vehicle with complete fire-fighting devices, vehicle chassis added with sufficient cooling fluid and fuel as required, but without extinguishing agent loaded or any crew.
3.4 Front/rear axle laden mass for fire vehicle kerb mass
It means the mass actually distributed on the front and rear axles when the fire vehicle is with its kerb mass. As for the fire vehicle with double front axles or double rear axles, it means the mass distributed on the double axles.
3.5 Fire vehicle gross mass
It means the mass of the fire vehicle with complete fire-fighting devices, vehicle chassis added with sufficient cooling fluid and fuel as required as well as extinguishing agent and crew (the driver included) loaded as required.
3.6 Front/rear axle laden mass for fire vehicle gross mass
It means the mass actually distributed on the front and rear axles when the fire vehicle is with its gross mass. As for the fire vehicle with double front axles or double rear axles, it means the mass distributed on the double axles.
3.7 Light fire vehicle
The fire vehicle with the maximum manufacturer's total mass of its chassis larger than 1800kg but no larger than 6000kg.
3.8 Medium fire vehicle
The fire vehicle with the maximum manufacturer's total mass of its chassis larger than 6000kg but no larger than 14000kg.
3.9 Heavy fire vehicle
The fire vehicle with the maximum manufacturer's total mass of its chassis larger than 14000kg
3.10 Manned platform
The working platform for human installed at the top of the arm support of platform truck or the top of the ladder assembly of aerial ladder truck.
3.11 Elevator scoop
The scoop for human driven by power up and down along the ladder assembly of aerial ladder truck
3.12 Rated load of platform truck
The maximum mass (excluding various equipments mounted on the manned platform) allowed to be loaded on the manned platform at the safe and normal working condition when the fire water branch and monitor are out of service.
3.13 Rated load of aerial ladder truck
The allowable maximum load on the top stair of the ladder assembly at the safe and normal working condition when the fire water branch and monitor are out of service (if manned platform is set, its mass shall not be included in the rated load).
3.14 Safe operation scope of elevating fire truck
The safety area of elevating fire truck with rated load
3.15 Rated operating height of platform truck
The vertical distance between the upper plane of the loaded platform soleplate and the ground when the platform truck elevates to the maximum height
3.16 Rated operating height of water tower
The vertical distance between the center line of the horizontal monitor and the ground when the water tower elevates to the maximum height
3.17 Rated operating height of aerial ladder truck
The vertical distance between the upper edge of peak stair and the ground when the aerial ladder truck is at its maximum elevation and maximum elongation
3.18 Standard environmental condition
The atmospheric pressure is the normal atmospheric pressure and the atmospheric temperature (including the water temperature) is 20℃.
3.19 Vacuum degree
The difference between the normal atmospheric pressure and the pressure formed in the diversion pipeline by the working priming device.
3.20 Time of drawing water
The time since the priming device of fire vehicle starts working to the delivery gauge of fire pump displays the pressure.
3.21 Vehicle-mounted jet monitor (hereinafter referred to as "jet monitor")
It means the fire monitor mounted on the fire vehicle (including the monitor platform). In this standard, it includes the fire water monitor (named as "water monitor" for short), air-foam fire monitor (named as "foam monitor" for short), powder fire monitor, dual-purpose monitor and the combination monitor.
3.22 Dual-purpose monitor
The single-pipe jet monitor that is able to jet air foam and water.
3.23 Combination monitor
The double-pipe jet monitor combined with any two kinds among water monitor, foam monitor, dual-purpose monitor and powder fire monitor.
3.24 Effective discharge time of dry powder truck spray system
It means the time the dry powder tank filled with rated amount of dry powder to jet from the maximum working pressure as specified in the design till the pressure in tank drops to the minimum working pressure as specified in the design.
3.25 Discharge rate of dry powder truck spray system
The mass of powder extinguishing agent jetted out in unit time
3.26 Effective discharge rate of dry powder truck spray system
The mean value of discharge rate within effective discharge time
3.27 Inflation time of dry powder truck spray system
The time since the working gas is started being inflated into the dry powder tank with rated filling amount till the pressure in the tank is as high as the maximum working pressure.
3.28 Powder remaining rate
It means the percentage ratio between the dry power residual amount after jetting (within effective discharge time) and the original amount in the dry powder tank with rated filling amount.
