GB 6675 is a series of standards for safety of toys, including the following parts:
——Basic code (GB 6675.1);
——General requirements, including but not limited to: Mechanical and physical properties (GB 6675.2), Flammability (GB 6675.3) and Migration of certain elements (GB 6675.4);
——Specific requirements are requirements for specific products.
This is Part 14 of GB 6675.
In a series of standards for safety of toys, this part (GB 6675.14) specifies specific requirements of finger paints, and it is applied in combination with GB 6675.1, GB 6675.2, GB 6675.3, GB 6675.4 and GB 19865 (for electric toys).
This part is developed in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.

Safety of toys - Part 14: Requirements and test methods of finger paints
1 Scope
This part of GB 6675 specifies the technical requirements and test methods of finger paints used by children under 14 years old.
This part is applicable to substances and materials in finger paints used by children under 14 years old, and other parts and materials in finger paints products other than finger paints do not apply to this part.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the following terms and definitions apply.
3.1 finger paints
paste and/or jelly like, coloured preparations specially designed for children, directly applicable to suitable surfaces with the fingers and hands
Note: In addition to water, finger paints essentially consist of colourants, extenders, binding agents, humectants, preservatives, surfactants and embittering agents.
3.2 colourant
colouring chemical compounds (dyes and pigments)
3.3 extender
substance consisting of insoluble particles used to increase volume, optimize the use effect or improve product appearance
3.4 humectant
substance that delays the drying process
3.5 binding agent
water soluble or miscible, non-volatile component(s) that bind(s) the paint to the surface to which it has been applied
3.6 preservative
substance that prevents the growth of undesirable micro-organisms
3.7 surfactant
surface active substance for improving products
3.8 embittering agent
substance that gives the product a bitter taste
