1 General Provisions
1.0.1 This Code is formulated so that the design of building ground fulfills the building functions and service requirements and to make it advanced in technology, cost-effective, safe and applicable, environmental-friendly and high-qualified.
1.0.2 This Code is applicable to the design of bottom ground and floor ground, as well as apron, open drain, footsteps, stairs and ramp, etc.
1.0.3 The building ground design shall make full use of the local materials and renewable resources depending on the project features and service conditions, and make specific adjustments according to local conditions.
1.0.4 Besides the requirements specified in this Code, the building ground design shall also comply with those in the current national standards concerned.
2 Terms
2.0.1 Building ground
Generic term of the building bottom ground and floor ground.
2.0.2 Surface course
The surface course of the building ground directly bearing various physical and chemical actions.
2.0.3 Combined course
The connection course between the surface course and the lower structural course.
2.0.4 Troweling course
The structural course taking the troweling function on the under layer, floor slab or filler course.
2.0.5 Isolating course
The structural course preventing various liquids or water, moisture from permeating the ground.
2.0.6 Damp course
The structural layer preventing the moisture below from permeating the ground.
2.0.7 Filler course
The structural course in the building ground with functions of sound insulation, thermal insulation, sloping or concealed laying pipelines.
2.0.8 Under layer
The structural course set on building foundation for bearing and transmitting upper load.
2.0.9 Foundation
The soil layer bearing bottom ground load.
2.0.10 Shrinkage crack
The shrinkage joint to prevent the concrete under layer from generating zigzag cracks when the temperature decreases.
2.0.11 Stretching crack
The expansion crack to prevent the concrete under layer from crushing or doming at the edge of shrinkage crack when the temperature rises.
2.0.12 Lengthwise shrinkage crack
The shrinkage crack parallel to the construction direction.
2.0.13 Crosswise stretching crack
The shrinkage crack vertical to the construction direction.
3 Ground Type
3.1 Basic Requirement
3.1.1 The building ground type shall be chosen depending on the building function, service requirements, project features and technical and economic conditions, and by comprehensive technical and economic comparisons.
3.1.2 The natural stones like marbles and granites used for the building ground shall meet the hazardous substance limit that specified in the current national standard "Limits of Radionuclides in Building Materials" (GB 6566).
3.1.3 Materials like adhesives, bituminous cements and paints shall meet the relevant requirements of the current national standard "Code for Indoor Environmental Pollution Control of Civil Building Engineering" (GB 50325).
3.1.4 Personnel activity ground in public building shall be safe to for the disabled; other floor materials shall meet the relevant requirements of the current national standard "Codes for Accessibility Design" (GB 50763).
3.1.5 The bottom ground of the building should be 150mm higher than the outdoor ground. This indoor-outdoor height difference shall be increased in the case of special production and application requirements or expected relatively large settlement, etc.
3.1.6 The timber and bamboo grounds shall be taken with corresponding fire-proof, anti-corrosive, damp proof, mothproof and other measures.
3.1.7 Where water or non-corrosive liquids frequently wets or flows on the ground, isolating course shall be set and non-absorbent, easy-flushing and skid-resistant surface materials shall be adopted. The isolating course shall use waterproof materials. Besides the above-mentioned requirements, the fabricated reinforced concrete floor slab shall also have integrally-cast reinforced concrete course.
