Introduction
Personal protective equipment, also known as labor protective equipment, is the "last line of defense" to protect the lives of hundreds of millions of workers. It is an important means for employee to do a good job in safety production and emergency management in China to wear and use personal protective equipment correctly. The formulation of mandatory personal protective equipment provision standards is to concretize and standardize the requirements of Article 45 of the Law of the People’s Republic of China on Work Safety. GB 39800 Specifications for the provision of personal protective equipment, aiming to establish the provision and management requirements of personal protective equipment of employers, is proposed to consist of the following ten parts.
——Part 1: General requirement. The purpose is to establish the general requirements of personal protective equipment for employers, including provision principles, provision processes, identification and evaluation of hazardous factors in workplaces, selection, waste judgment and replacement, training and use of personal protective equipment, etc.
——Part 2: Oil, chemical and gas industry. The purpose is to establish the provision requirements, identification and evaluation of hazardous factors of personal protective equipment for employers in oil, chemical and gas industry.
——Part 3: Metallurgy, nonferrous metals. The purpose is to establish the provision requirements, identification and evaluation of hazardous factors of personal protective equipment for employers in metallurgy, nonferrous metals industry.
——Part 4: Non-coal mines. The purpose is to establish the provision requirements, identification and evaluation of hazardous factors of personal protective equipment for employers in non-coal mines industry.
——Part 5: Building materials industry. The purpose is to establish the provision requirements, identification and evaluation of hazardous factors of personal protective equipment for employers in building materials industry.
——Part 6: Electric power industry. The purpose is to establish the provision requirements, identification and evaluation of hazardous factors of personal protective equipment for employers in electric power industry.
——Part 7: Electronic industry. The purpose is to establish the provision requirements, identification and evaluation of hazardous factors of personal protective equipment for employers in electronic industry.
——Part 8: Shipbuilding industry. The purpose is to establish the provision requirements, identification and evaluation of hazardous factors of personal protective equipment for employers in shipbuilding industry.
——Part 9: Automobile industry. The purpose is to establish the provision requirements, identification and evaluation of hazardous factors of personal protective equipment for employers in automobile industry.
——Part 10: Machinery industry. The purpose is to establish the provision requirements, identification and evaluation of hazardous factors of personal protective equipment for employers in machinery industry.
The provision of personal protective equipment is based on fully identifying and evaluating the hazard factors of specific types of work, and the hazard factors faced by different types of work in different industries are very different. Therefore, it is compiled into partial documents according to different industries, which together constitute the management standard system of personal protective equipment provision in China. In the future, more industries will be included in due course according to the situation, and the management standard system of personal protective equipment in China will be further improved.
Specifications for the provision of personal protective equipment - Part 6: Electric power industry
1 Scope
This document specifies the general requirements for the provision of personal protective equipment (i.e. labor protective equipment), the identification and evaluation of hazard factors and the provision requirements of personal protective equipment of each employer in the electric power industry.
This document is applicable to the provision and management of personal protective equipment of employers in the electric power industry, and also to the provision and management of personal protective equipment of workers in employers in other industries.
This document is not applicable to the provision and management of personal protective equipment for fire protection by employers in electric power industry.
