This standard specifies the indophenol blue photometric method for the determination of nitrogen content after distillation separation.
This standard is applicable to the determination of nitrogen content in pure iron, carbon steel, alloy steel, high temperature alloy and precious alloy and is not applicable the determination of nitrogen content in silicon steel remolded without aluminum and its sectional materials. Determination range: 0.0010%~0.050%.
