This standard is applicable to the single sawblade circular saw bench (with or without travelling table) and the circular sawing machine with travelling table (dimension saw) (hereinafter referred to as "machines"). They are designed to cut solid wood, chipboard, fiberboard, plywood and also these materials where they are covered with plastics edging and/or plastics (light alloy) laminates.
This standard is applicable to the machine manufactured after the implementation date of this standard.
This standard is not applicable to the hand-rocking universal circular saw bench; table-top circular saw bench and hand-held circular saw bench.
This standard specifies the safety technical requirements and inspection methods of the machine.
