1 Scope
This standard specifies product classification, technical requirements, testing methods, inspection rules as well as marking, packing, transport and storage of fired hollow bricks and blocks.
This standard is applicable to such hollow bricks and blocks (hereinafter referred to as bricks and blocks) as baked from clay, shale, coal gangue and fly ash (main raw materials) and mostly used for the non-bearing parts of buildings.

3 Terms and Definitions
Terms and definitions in GB/T 18968-2003 and JC/T 466 are adopted by this standard.
4 Classification
4.1 Classification
It may be divided into clay brick and block (N), shale brick and block (Y), coal gangue brick and block (M) and fly ash brick and block (F) according to the major raw materials.
4.2 Specifications
4.2.1 The brick and block shape are right-angle hexahedron (See Figure 1) and its length, width and height size shall meet the following requirements: (unit: mm)
390, 290.240, 190, 180(175), 140, 115, 90;
4.2.2 The other sizes may be negotiated by both parties of supplier and demander.
