1 Scope
This standard specifies the definition, product classification and designation, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of service helmets for police.
This standard is applicable to service helmets for police.

3 Definitions
For the purposes of this standard, the following definitions apply.
3.1 police service helmets (hereinafter referred to as helmets)
police appliance for protecting the heads of service personnel
3.2 testing area
area designated on a helmet for testing, while the whole shell for a shell
3.3 basic plane
horizontal plane determined by the left and right tragus points and the suborbital points, also called the head horizontal plane (see Figure 1) [3.10, GB 811-1998]
