This standard specifies the basic performance and classification, design requirement and performance testing method of installed personal surface contamination monitors for low-energy X and gamma emitters.
This standard is applicable to personal surface radioactive contamination monitoring device for low-energy X and gamma emitters. Its technical performance is only applicable to examining the conditions of the body, hands and feet of the participant before placing them under the detector, but not applicable to examining the circumstances when the participant moves through fast or when the detector is moved on the monitoring surface. In addition, there is no requirement for whether the participant is dressed.
