1 General Provisions
1.0.1 This code is formulated with view to implementing fundamental construction policies of nation and accomplishing safety, reliability and economic rationality in the design of main building structure of fossil-fired power plant and the conventional island of nuclear power plant.
1.0.2 This code is applicable to the determination of load value of all process disciplines and civil work discipline from ground (±0.00m) or basement to roof of the constructed, renovated or extended main building of fossil-fired power plant with the unit capacity of 125MW~1,000MW.
This code is applicable to the determination of load value of all process disciplines and civil work discipline from ground (±0.00m) or basement to roof of the main building of conventional island of nuclear power plant with the unit capacity of 1,000MW.
1.0.3 Actions involved in the design of civil structure shall include direct action (load) and indirect action. This code only specifies the requirements for load and temperature action, and the requirements related to variable load therein are also applicable to temperature action.
1.0.4 Design reference period adopted herein is 50 years.
1.0.5 In addition to the requirements herein, the loads involved in the design of civil structure shall also comply with those in the current relevant standards of the nation.
1.0.6 In the case that the process discipline provides the load data and the design of civil structure, the characteristic value of a load shall be proposed and used according to this code. The construction, installation and operation maintenance shall also comply with the relevant requirements herein.
2 Terms
2.0.1 load
generally the concentrated force or distributed force applied on a structure, which is also referred to as direct action
2.0.2 permanent load
load of which the value does not vary with time, or the variation is negligible in contrast to the average value or the variation is monotonous and trends to the limit during use of structure
2.0.3 variable load
load of which the value varies with time and the variation is non-negligible in contrast to the average value during use of structure
2.0.4 accidental load
load which does not always occur during use of structure but is very large and exists for very short duration once occurred
2.0.5 representative value of a load
load value adopted for checking calculation of limit state in the design, e.g., characteristic value, combination value, frequent value and quasi-permanent value
2.0.6 design reference period
time parameter which is selected to determine the representative value of a variable load
2.0.7 design working life
number of years specified in the design, during which the structure or structural member can work according to the intended purpose without any overhaul
2.0.8 characteristic value/nominal value
reference representative value of various loads in the design of structure or member, which is generally determined according to a certain tantile (e.g., average, mode, median or a certain tantile) of the probability distribution of maximum load within design reference period
2.0.9 combination value
value of variable load, which makes the exceedance probability of post-combination load effect within design reference period trend to be consistent with the corresponding probability when this load occurs separately; or value of variable load, which makes the post-combination structure have a uniform specified reliability index
2.0.10 frequent value
value of variable load, of which the total exceedance time is the specified small ratio or the exceedance frequency is the specified frequency within design reference period
