2.1.1
heat-supplying tunnels
tunnel used for laying city heat-supplying pipeline
2.1.2
a deep tunnel
tunnel in which the deformation and movement of stratum caused by excavation, support and lining construction do not affect the ground surface
2.1.3
a shallow tunnel
tunnel in which the deformation and movement of stratum caused by excavation, support and lining construction affect the ground surface
2.1.4
overburden
depth from the ground surface to the vault of tunnel support structure
2.1.5
mining method
construction method of underground cavern excavation by non-open-excavation method
2.1.6
New Austrian Tunneling Method (NATM)
method of using anchor bolts and shotcrete for timely support to control the deformation and relaxation of surrounding rock, and guiding the dynamic design and construction of tunnels through measurement and monitoring of surrounding rock and support
2.1.7
shallow tunneling method
method of construction that uses various auxiliary construction methods to improve and reinforce the surrounding rock in the underground area close to the surface, and follows the principles of NATM for underground excavation operations
2.1.8
surrounding rock
rock and soil mass within the influence range of tunnel engineering construction
2.1.9
classification of surrounding rock
classification method that selects several main indexes based on the main factors affecting the stability of surrounding rock, and uses a combination of qualitative division and quantitative indexes to classify the degree of stability of surrounding rock
2.1.10
initial stress field in ground
stress field formed in rock and soil mass under natural conditions due to self weight and geological tectonic movement
2.1.11
pressure acted by surrounding rock
pressure acting on the tunnel support or lining structure due to the deformation or looseness of surrounding rock after tunnel excavation in the initial stress field in ground
2.1.12
vertical shaft
well-shaped passage with upright tunnel wall for lifting earth and rock, transporting personnel and materials and for the purpose of ventilation
2.1.13
initial support
anchor bolt (anchor pipe) and shotcrete support that are timely applied after the excavation of vertical shafts and tunnels
2.1.14
final lining
formed concrete lining after the initial support of the tunnel is basically stable
2.1.15
inspection well
specialized structure installed on underground pipings at the accessories of pipelines that require frequent operation and maintenance
2.1.16
fixed trestle
pipeline trestle that not allows relative displacement of pipes
2.1.17
movable trestle
pipeline trestle that allows axial and lateral relative displacement of pipes
2.1.18
guiding trestle
pipe support that only allows axial displacement of pipes
2.1.19
groove for anti-sliding of fixed trestle
groove structure formed by appropriately expanding the initial support section of the tunnel at the fixed trestle to effectively transfer the thrust of the heat pipeline borne by the fixed trestle to the initial support and surrounding rock, preventing the overall movement of the fixed trestle
2.1.20
shotcrete
a type of concrete layer formed by using compressed air or other power to transport a concrete mixture mixed in a certain proportion along a piping to the nozzle, and spraying it vertically at a high speed on the sprayed surface. It relies on the continuous impact of cement and aggregate during the spraying process, forming a concrete layer through compaction
