Fireworks and firecrackers - Strength test method for pyrotechnics English
1 Scope
This standard specifies the test principle, instruments and materials, test preparation, explosion expansion test of central hole of lead block, and measurement for central hole volume of lead block after expansion for the pyrotechnics strength used for fireworks and firecrackers and the calculation of pyrotechnics strength.
This standard is applicable to the test for pyrotechnics strength used for fireworks and firecrackers.
2 Normative references
The following referenced documents are indispensable for the application of this document. For dated references, only the edition cited applies. For undated references, the latest edition of the referenced document (including any amendments) applies.
GB/T 7968 Bag paper
GB 8031 Industrial electric blasting cap
WJ/T 9030 Lead block for strength test of explosives
3 Terms and definitions
For the purpose of this standard, the following terms and definitions apply.
3.1
pyrotechnics strength
total mechanical work done to surrounding medium when pyrotechnics explode
4 Test principle
Under the condition of specified parameters (mass, density and geometry dimension), the central hole of the lead block is expanded when the pyrotechnics explode, and the pyrotechnics strength is measured by the expanded volume of the central hole of the lead block. The pyrotechnics strength is 0 mL when there is no explosive condition.
5 Instruments and materials
5.1 Lead block: as shown in Figure 1, it shall meet the requirements of WJ/T 9030.
