1 Scope
This standard specifies the installation, maintenance and management requirements of personnel regional positioning system in metal and nonmetal underground mine.
This standard is not applicable to metal and nonmetal underground mine coexisting and associated with coal.

3 Terms and definitions
3.1
personnel regional positioning system
system consists of host computer, transmission interface, base station (card reader), identification card, transmission cable and other equipment and management software, which has the functions of monitoring, displaying, printing, storing, inquiring, alarming and managing information such as card-carrying personnel's exit/entry time, key area's exit/entry time, working time, underground and key area's personnel number, underground personnel's activity route

host
computer device with the functions of monitoring signal reception, data display, inquiry and statistics, man-machine dialogue, disk storage, sound and light alarm, control printing and output, and connection with management network
3.3
transmission interface
interface that receives the signal from substation and sends it to the host for processing; receives the host signal and sends it to the corresponding substation; controls the sending and receiving of substation, the modulation and demodulation of multiplexed signals, and has the functions of system self-inspection
3.4
base station (card reader)
device that reads the information used for identifying persons in the identification card through wireless mode and transmits the information to the transmission interface
3.5
identification card
card with electronic data in the agreed format carried by underground personnel
3.6
the absentees
persons who fail to arrive at the designated place within the specified time
3.7
identifiable area
wireless coverage area for the system to correctly identify the identification card carried by a card-carrying personnel
3.8
key area
all entry and exit drifts of production level and sublevel, main bifurcation drift, underground blasting material warehouse, emergency refuge facilities and other areas
